Yorkshire Pudding
Born in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Raised from age 5 to 34 in the West Midlands. It is now time to start the journey back home. Its time I returned to Yorkshire.
They say a Yorkshireman can leave Yorkshire, but the Yorkshire never leaves the man. Its where his home is, where he feels just right – and its the same for me, Yorkshire to me is still home.
You may think that sounds daft having lived 29 years elsewhere, but whilst Wolverhampton has been where I have lived, and been fond of the place – its not my home like Yorkshire is.
There is a certain something about the feeling back home, its warmth that it brings to me inside, the friendliness of the people is so comforting. Other people have the same feeling about other places, but I don’t think that it is quite the same for me elsewhere anywhere else other than in Yorkshire.
Yorkshire born, Yorkshire I am, and Yorkshire is where I am heading home. (Subject to finding a job, house, and all that gubbins that comes with that….!)
